Philosophy
I
strongly believe that parents and schools need to be equal
partners in the education of their child. My experience as
a qualified teacher has clearly shown that one of the largest
factors in children's reading is whether they regularly read
with their parents.
I advocate a non-pressured and stimulating approach to learning
to read. The seminar is designed to help busy working parents
maximise the precious reading time they spend with their child
at home.
I strike the balance between ensuring that individual needs
are met whilst facilitating contact between like-minded parents.
I achieve this by limiting the sessions to 15 participants.
This way, parents benefit from personal attention and can
have their questions answered by a fully qualified teacher
who specialises in teaching children to read.

opens the door to learning'
